An Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) is a way of making sure that our policies, procedures, frameworks and strategies here, at East North East Homes Leeds do not discriminate anyone under the 6 strands of Equality and Diversity. We want everyonewithin our communities to have a fair and equal access to all our services.
The 6 strands of Equality and Diversity that we look at when completing an EIA are: race, gender, disability, age, religion and belief and sexual orientation. At East North East Homes Leeds, we are committed to making sure that we are able to provide you with the best possible service we can. By Equality Impact Assessing our documents this will help to make our services easier to access for you our tenants.

All Human Resources Policies, Procedures, Strategies and Frameworks were Equality Impact Assessed in September this year. These documents are brand new therefore, they will be re-assessed in September 2010. It is important to do this to make sure that they do not discriminate against any of the 6 strands of equality and Diversity. It also helps to assess our policies to make sure that we are as transparent as possible to our customers.
