Angelena Fixter, Chair of the Board
Angelena has worked in Social Care for 22 years with children, young people and adults in the UK and abroad. Her roles have been varied, from front line services to Senior Management.
She has recently been awarded the IoD Director of the Year Award for the Third Sector in Yorkshire and Humberside. Angelena is the Chief Executive for a third Sector company 'Avalon' that covers the North of England, providing housing and support to a range of people. Avalon also has a number of subsidiary businesses covering a vast number of interests, as well as supported employment.
Cllr Graham Hyde, Deputy Chair
Graham is a governor of Parklands and Seacroft Grange Primary Schools while also being actively involved with the Seacroft Neighbours Scheme. He is also a member of the Inner East Area Committee.
Nigel Deacon

Jo Hourigan
I am Chair of Outer North East Area Panel. Chair of Audit & Scrutiny Committee and a member of The Business Planning Committee. I also Chair the Outer North East Community Forums. I have been involved since ALMOs first set up in Leeds in 2002.
Cllr Gerald Wilkinson
I have been a Conservative Councillor for Wetherby since 1999. During that time, I have served on various committees of Council and currently sit on the North East Outer Area Committee (as chair), the Licensing and Regulatory Panel, the Children’s Advisory Panel, the Leeds Sports Federation, the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Authority, and the Leisure Scrutiny Board. I have been a member of Wetherby Town Council since 1990, serving as the Mayor of Wetherby from 1997 to 2000 and served as Deputy Lord Mayor 2008 / 09. My interests outside of the Council include golf. I am a member of Scarcroft Golf Club.
Paul Marshall
Paul is an independent member who sits on the Audit Committee and chairs the Performance Planning Committee. He works as a freelance Project Manager and has many years experience in the provision of social housing, both new-build and re-generation, providing commercial and project management services on schemes for local authorities and most of the housing associations active in the area.
Cllr Ron Grahame
I have been a Member of Leeds City Council for 25 years. Previously a Governor of the Board Leeds Thomas Danby College, now a Director of ALMO, East North East Homes. I was educated in Oxford by the GMBAT Union. My wife, Pauleen, is also a Leeds City Councillor. I have three children, Karen, James and Christian. It is a great honour to serve the people of Leeds.
Liz Dean
Liz is the HR Director at a regional property company and brings over 15 years experience in human resources to the role. She possesses valuable experience on organisational development, culture change, performance management and learning and development with a strong emphasis on customer focus.
Liz has a passion for fitness ballet dance and is a keen runner having completed a number of 10K runs.
Stuart Wilson
Stuart has worked for over 25 years as an operational Firefighter serving the community of East Leeds. He was a lead member of the team who set up the very successful East Leeds Young Firefighters Programme. This has helped many students from schools in East Leeds with important life skills and vital education.
He is also a very pro active within the charity sector both as a fundraiser and company member. In December 2010 Stuart went to Buckingham Palace to receive from HRH The Queen his MBE he was awarded this for his advices to Local Government and Community.
Maureen Lillywhite
Maureen’s background is health she is a community health development worker and has worked for local charity Zest Health for Life for 8 years. She has a keen interest in social housing and was chair of the east Leeds homes tenant forum for three years.
Maureen has received several awards for her work including the spotlight award from the BBC the respect award from the home office also an award from HRH Prince Charles at the palace garden party for her work in local communities she was chosen as the Yorkshire and Humber winner.
Most recently this year she was nominated for a woman of achievement award
Peter Thorpe
My working background included being a Residential Social Worker with young people in the care system. I have been involved with local issues for a long time including a time as a committee member of a residents association in Swarcliffe, and was a board member of Leeds Tenants Federation, and also a member of an anti-social behaviour team in Leeds several years ago. About three years ago I was instrumental in the setting up of Parkway Grange & Court Residents Association of which I am now Chairman, and I am now also Vice Chairman of Outer East Area Panel.
On a personal level, I am a genealogist, enjoying local history, and in years past have been a freelance writer
Ralph Pryke
Ralph lives in Harehills in an inner city part of ENEH’s area, and has been a Liberal Democrat councillor for Burmantofts and Richmond Hill since 2003. A member of ENEH’s Inner East Area Panel until May 2011, he serves on a number of Council committees, most with partner organisations through the Leeds initiative, anti-poverty, housing and environment regeneration organisations, and climate change and affordable warmth initiatives.
